Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed around individual needs based on the benefits of creativity in learning. Through meaningful, creative experiences we provide opportunities for individuals to explore, express and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Engaging in creative experiences encourages curiosity, problem-solving and independent thinking, helps to build resilience through taking risks, overcoming challenges and adapting to new ideas.
Creative approaches also support the development of confidence by allowing individuals to make choices, experience success and recognise their own abilities and strengths. Through self-expression across a range of activities, young people can communicate thoughts, emotions and experiences in ways that feel safe and accessible.
Our nurturing, supportive environment and holistic approach creates the conditions for individuals to feel secure enough to experiment, reflect and grow. This process supports the development of identity, helping each person to build self-awareness, develop a sense of belonging and strengthen their understanding of who they are as individuals.

Art Projects and Workshops
Project-based Art activities will be themed to encourage exploration and imagination. Within each theme will be opportunities to develop skills such as drawing, design and media exploration. Outcomes from the project could be 2-dimensional, including opportunities in paint, printing and textiles or 3-dimensional, such as sculpture. Discovering the work of artists and creators will give inspiration and guidance.
Workshop-based Art activities provide experiences of a wide range of materials and techniques leading to the production of highly personalised outcomes. Creative approaches also support the development of confidence by allowing individuals to make choices, experience success and recognise their own abilities and strengths. Through self-expression across a range of activities, young people can communicate thoughts, emotions and experiences in ways that feel safe and accessible.
English - Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSE
Our English sessions focus on building real‑life communication skills in a calm, supportive environment. We work on reading, writing and speaking in ways that feel achievable and meaningful - from understanding everyday texts to expressing ideas with confidence.
Many of our learners have had difficult experiences with English in the past, so we take a gentle, step‑by‑step approach that helps them reconnect with learning and experience success again.

Life skills +
Life Skills + is designed to help young people build the practical and emotional tools they need for everyday life. Sessions explore topics which include
-
Emotional literacy and self‑regulation
-
Understanding friendships and communication
-
Personal organisation and routines
-
Healthy choices and self‑care
-
Problem‑solving and decision‑making
-
Developing awareness and confidence to keep themselves safe as they grow
Everything is taught at a pace that feels manageable, with plenty of space for discussion, reflection and real‑life application. This strand of our curriculum supports the whole child — helping them feel more confident, capable and ready for the next steps in their lives.
Social skills
Our Social Skills sessions offer structured, supported opportunities to practise interaction in a small, safe group. We focus on communication, turntaking, teamwork and managing feelings in social situations.
Through gentle modelling, creative activities and predictable routines, students can build positive peer relationships and develop the confidence to engage with others.
Maths - Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSE
Functional Maths is taught through practical, hands‑on activities that link directly to everyday life. We explore number, shape, measure and problem‑solving in ways that reduce pressure and build confidence.
Whether it’s telling the time, understanding money or working through real‑world scenarios, students are supported to take small steps, practise skills and feel secure in their learning.
Sensory space
Our sensory space is a calm, low arousal environment where young people can regulate, reset and feel grounded. It’s available throughout the day for anyone who needs a quiet moment, sensory input or a break from stimulation.
The space helps young people stay within their window of tolerance, manage feeling overwhelmed and return to learning more settled and ready.
